Founded by a German engineer in the year 1933 the success story of Hartmann begins as a repair shop in the German city of Delbrück. It is in Delbrück where George Hartmann develops his first packing machine for sliced bread in the year 1969. It was a special request from a local bakery. George Hartmann sees the opportunity and with courtesy to the positive feedback from the bakery industry, the production of bread slicing and packaging machines began.
